- Amendment 2 extends the closing date to 10:30 a.m. CST on 16 Feb 2006 for Traffic Control Operations, Tamiami Trail (US Highway 41), Miami, FL in accordance with attached Scope of Work and Wage Rates. The Geotechnical Exploration Unit, Mobile Distri ct, has the need for traffic control operations during drilling operations on the Tamiami Trail Highway, Phase I geotechnical investigation. The geotechnical investigation consists of drilling 19 soil borings within the paved southern shoulder area of US Highway 41, eastbound lane side (approximately 4 ft north of the paved southern edge). All traffic control operations will be performed in full accordance with State and Local laws and all regulations of the Florida Department of Transportation. Traffic control must include signage, flagmen, lane closure, and an off-duty police officer. The contractor shall furnish all cones, safety gear, and flags. The contractor will be required to provide a safety briefing to the government workers detailing the pro cedures of traffic control prior to initiating the first boring.
