Description

Notice of Contract Action for a Sole Source Procurement SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR MAINTENANCE OF THE ADVANTOR ANS COMPUTER SYSTEM. DESC: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT WITH ADVANTOR CORPORATION. The Air Force, Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Advantor Corporation,1707 Orlando Central Central Parkway, Suite 350, Orlando, FL 32809. The Sole Source purchase will be for the following: **MAINTENANCE OF THE ADVANTOR ANS COMPUTER SYSTEM FIRE DEPARTMENT, EDWARDS AFB, CA **1. Description of Services: The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and materials necessary to maintain the Advantor Advantage Suite for Networks (ASN) Computer System for the Edwards AFB Fire Department. The contractor shall provide Technical Services Center Support 24hour/7day unrestricted telephone access and software updates for Advantor software used in conjunction with the Advantage Suite for Networks (ASN)monitoring system, in accordance with the original purchased configuration. 2. Computer System Advanced Component Replacement Services: Contractor shall provide a service that allows for advanced replacement and repair of monitoring components. 3. Preventive Maintenance: Contractor shall provide an annual on-site inspection of the ASN computer system to include all hardware and peripheral devices. This inspection will include the following: - Test and inspect all console cabling and connections - Conduct full system tape back up and verify - Test and inspect all console cabling and connections - Conduct full system tape back up and verify - Test RAD power supplies and adjust voltages as necessary - Run ASN and OS system diagnostic reports and evaluate results for corrective action. - Clean computers, reset all boards and ships - Clean floppy and tape drives - Update ASN software - Provide system maintenance report and out brief on-site personnel 4. Emergency Service Response: Requests for service may be made 24-hours per day, 7 days per week however; if necessary, the contractor shall dispatch a representative to on-site location within one (1) business day. 5. Training Requirements: Contractor shall provide annual on-site operator and administrator training for base personnel to ensure familiarity with system operational procedures. The contractor shall provide the trainer, training materials and supplies for up to 10 people per class. EAFB will provide a suitable site to conduct the training, including equipments (i.e. ASN for all classes) needed to conduct the hands-on portion of the training. 6. Hours of Operation: Service can be conducted anytime during normal business hours 0700 - 1600 Monday through Friday. 7. Base Access Requirements: The contractor shall provide 95 CONS/PKB with the following information for each individual requiring access: Last Name, MI, Driver's License # and State, SSAN, Citizenship, Date of Birth, Place of Birth ** Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the maintenance of the Advantor ANS computer system as detailed above. A determination by the air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the air Force. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by Close of Business (COB), 12 April 05, a Sole Source purchase order will be pursued with Advantor Corporation, 1707 Orlando Central Parkway, Suite 350, Orlando, FL 32809.
