- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service - Region 7 (Alaska) intends to award a sole source procurement to Alaska Department of Fish and Game to monitor the movements and distribution of the Fortymile, Nelcina, and Mentasta caribou herds including staus, trends, herd movements, hunter effort and hunter concentration areas, harvest data, enforcement problems and recommendations for regulatory changes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and the Government does not intend to accept proposals received. Award will be made within 15 days after publication of this notice. See Numbered Note 22.
