Description
This is a sources sought synopsis seeking information of potential small business firms (nationwide) that have an interest in submitting as a prime contractor, a proposal for the following description: The Contractor shall provide all the needed labor, equipment, materials, and services to plan, manage, perform, and document all activities as described in the SOW. The work involved includes but is not limited to the repair and maintenance of airfield pavements and drainage structures. The period of performance for the proposed IDIQ contract will be for a 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods. In general terms, the work includes the demolition and repair of existing airfield aprons, taxiways, and the installation of new pavements. This description is not all-inclusive of the work, and is intended as a broad, general description. The site location is Whiteman AFB, Missouri. The magnitude for this construction project is over $10,000,000 for the 5 year period. We are requesting that all interested and qualified firms respond to this sources sought notice with a capability statement similar to your marketing package used in the everyday course of doing business. The Government will utilize the following information in determining acquisition strategy: (1) summarize how your company is uniquely capable and qualified to handle large airfield paving projects; (2) summarize projects completed similar to the project outlined above. The list of relevant projects may include names of the project team members and firm, point of contact (contracting officer and QAE/inspector) with titles, phone and fax numbers, project scope, type of contract, and unique characteristics encountered within the execution of the project and approaches taken to minimize impacts; (3) bonding: provide your bonding capacity per contract and aggregate. (4) A statement of your current business size status under the NAICS code 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. The information above must be submitted in written format.
