Description

THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO EXTEND THE DUE DATE FOR PROPOSALS TO 4:30 PM CST MONDAY FEB 13, 2006. USDA, APHIS, VS has a requirement for a general contractor to provide labor, services, material and equipment necessary to repair portions of the incinerator roof of the New York Animal Import Center with matching or comparable roofing material. All work shall be done in accordance with the latest building codes and will comply with local, Federal and State codes and is subject to Davis Bacon. The company will be required to obtain all necessary permits and licenses. This contract will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price contract to the most qualified company based on best value not low bid. The successful company will be required to provide performance and payment bonds as well as a bid bond. A copy of the solicitation, APHIS-06-016, is to be released on or about January 10, 2006 on this FBO site. If there are questions after the solicitation is released, they should be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer. This solicitation will be announced for full and open competition, no set aside, and all responsible businesses may submit a proposal which will be evaluated. A site visit will be arranged, the date and time to be announced. Potential contractors who attend will be given preference for award. This effort is estimated at less than $100,000. A copy of the solicitation will be available at this office for review after the posting date. Parties interested in submitting a proposal should monitor the FBO website for amendments to the solicitation.
