This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. The Naval Surface Warfare Center has a requirement for high voltage output terminals for use on the AN/SPS-49 transmitter high voltage power supply, for the purpose of isolating ? 45 KVDC operating voltage from the chassis, in accordance with Ceramtec Drawing number 6398, dated 14 NOV 2005. The requirement is for Ceramtec North America Corporation, One Technology Place, Laurens, SC 29360-5089 ?Brand Name Only?. The Government does not possess specifications to solicit on the basis of full and open competition. This commercial solicitation shall be issued utilizing other than full and open competition procedures. This requirement is anticipated to result in a firm fixed price supply contract with a minimum order quantity of 10 units. Delivery will be FOB Destination, NSWC-Crane, Crane, Indiana 47522-5000, within 20 weeks after receipt of orders. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination by NSWC Crane personnel. This solicitation will be available on or about 17 FEB 2006 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil.supply/announce.htm. The offeror will be required to submit past performance and price proposal information. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. The source must download from the www site listed. Offer must be submitted in the format specified in the solicitation. Submitting a bid from the NECO website by clicking on ?Submit Bid? does not guarantee offers will be received by the proper person in the correct format. It is the responsibility of the offeror to download the RFP and to submit offers to the POC at NSWC Crane. NAICS Code 335931; FSC Code 5985. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
