This is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The purpose of this market research (Sources Sought Notice) is to determine at what level adequate competition is available. Specifications (These specifications are not meant to be definitive, but represent in summary form, the general areas to be supported): Provide a broad range of administrative services supporting an Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM (OEF/OIF) Records Manager, Archivist, Transcriber, and Records Clerk (2000 hours/4 FTE) for United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) CCHO. The USCENTCOM Command History Office is required to collect and preserve official classified and unclassified executive-level documents relating to the Global War on Terrorism, such as the USS Cole and Khobar Towers incidents; Congressional hearings; testimonies; and visits; Operations ENDURING and IRAQI FREEDOM; and follow-on and contingency operations. Services shall support organization and digitization of historically significant documents. Transcription of command archival records, i.e. notes of high-level meetings, phone conferences, and audio recordings. Historical documents shall be archived into the database and turned over to Records Management. Researching of materials in response to staff inquiries for records and assistance from the library. Maintain web content and projects related to History Office websites. Objectives shall be accomplished by a contractor using administrative, word processing, and file management skill sets working with paper and electronic documents. Contractor shall have a TS/SCI/TK/G/HCS. A ?draft? Statement of Work (SOW) is available upon request. Firms responding to this RFI are asked to provide the following information in their initial response: company?s full name, business size to include small business size categories, i.e., 8A, Small Disadvantaged Veteran Owned Small Business, HUBZone, etc., GSA Schedule or Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) number (if applicable), address, point of contact, and a clear indication as to whether or not they can provide the service the government is seeking. Final responses to this RFI will be due on February 09, 2006. Responses will be reviewed and may result in further clarifications to further explore commercial capabilities with selected respondents. As industry may expect to see portions of submitted information in future solicitations, portions of the response containing proprietary information should be clearly marked as such. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice.
