Description

The work consists of clearing and grubbing, hauling and processing earth material from stockpile and placing as semi-compacted and uncompacted fill, placing reinforcement geotextile fabric, placing levee crown and ramp surfacing material, placing arm or stone protection, demolition and removal of uncapped floodwalls, furnishing and driving steel sheet piling for interim protection, fertilizing, seeding, and mulching, and other incidental work. Also included in the work is realignment of a portion of L A Highway 23, an asphalt roadway with curb-and-gutter and subsurface drainage systems, and associated temporary detour roads and erosion control installations. Proposals will be due on Thursday, 2 February 2006, at 10:00am local time, New Orleans, LA. Pr oposals shall be faxed to Mary Catherine Kiefer at (504) 681-2394 or e-mailed to MARY.R.KIEFER@MVN02.USACE.ARMY.MIL. Original proposal and bid bond should be sent via FedEx/UPS next day.
