Description
This is a notice of intention to issue a solicitation for the establishment of a long term repair contract for the MH53J processor. Basic award is for the repair of 6 each Processors, NSN 5865-21-914-4790EW, P/N 245-602360-000. Two option periods with quantity ranges from 1 ? 12 for each. Delivery schedule: 45 days ARO of repairables. The approximate solicitation issue date is 10 February 2006, with the approximate response date of 13 March 2006. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, CMC Electronics Inc, 415 Leggett Drive, Ottawa, Ontario, K2K 2B2, Canada, CAGE code 38753, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. CMC Electronics is the only source that has the proprietary data and technical documentation to satisfy this requirement. See Notes 22 & 26. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation that shall be considered. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 45 days of the synopsis publication date. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Late responses will not be accepted.
