- VISN 22, Network 22 Logistics Office, intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 13) sole source contract with a Small Business, Datamed Devices Inc., 319 West Lone Cactus Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85027 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. Datamed Devices Inc., shall provide Optical Instruments required by the VA San Diego Healthcare System in CA. The Government is requesting for the following items: (1) SP-8800 Specular Microscope (Konan Medical); (2) P93W Video Printer (Mitsubishi Analog Video Printer); (3) PMK9 9" B/W Monitor (Ikegame Video Monitor), to provide evaluation of cornea endothelial cell counts for patients before and after corneal transplant surgery and for Fuch?s dystrophy. The system has built in analytical software to obtain information about corneal endothelium cell density, maximum/minimum cell area, percentage of hexagonal cells, as well as statistical data. Products shall be delivered, in 15 days after award. Delivery terms shall be FOB Origin to the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System, Jerry l. Pettis, 11270 Benton Street, Loma Linda, CA 92357. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to the requirement by submitting their request in writing with complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, E-mail address and point of contact. The Government will consider all quotes received by 4:00pm, January 31, 2006.
