- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Mission Assurance Services to extend the current contract for 6 months. NASA intends to award a sole-source contract extension to SRS Technologies Information Services Division (SRS) pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source under Contract NAS5-00241. This procurement is to extend the current contract for up to 6 months, in support of NASA/GSFC Office of Systems Safety (OSSMA) The current contractor provides the following services to NASA GSFC OSSMA: personnel, materials and facilities to provide Mission Assurance Engineering Services, System Safety Services, Reliability Services, Continuous Risk Management Services, and Information Technology Services. NASA intends to extend the existing contract for a period of 6 months, from February 28, 2006 to August 28, 2006. These services provide a wide range of support and are essential to the NASA/GSFC environment. This work relates to safety and is essential for mission success. SRS has managed the current contract for the past 5 years and has the infrastructure in place to provide these services on short notice, for the brief period of the extension. The current contractor has the experience, management skills, and trained personnel to carry out the day-to-day operations and meet required schedules. Because of the time involved in procuring and phasing-in services from another contractor and because of the short term nature of the contract extension, SRS is considered to be the only source capable of meeting NASA's needs. Any other firms desiring consideration are requested to fully identify their interest and capabilities within 15 day of the date of publication of this synopsis to the NASA/GSFC Office and contact listed above. See Note 22.
