- CONTRACT INFO: Contract Specialist is Robert Joshlin, Robert.j.joshlin@usace.army.mil. Planholder list, solicitation documents, plans, and specifications will be available from the Walla Walla Districts web page at http://www.nww.usace.army.mil/eb s/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp. There will not be paper copies or CDs available. Issue date for the solicitation will be on or about 7 February, 2006 with the proposal due date no earlier than 45 days after issuance of the solicitation. Closing date wil l be stated in the solicitation. PROCUREMENT INFO: THIS PROCUREMENT UNRESTRICTED AVAILABLE FOR FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION IAW FAR 19.10 Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be a Fixed Price Construction requirement. The magnitude of this re quirement is estimated to be between $500,000 and 1,000,000. The estimated project completion date is 11 December 2006. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This work will be to upgrade the existing powerhouse elevators at Lower Monumental and Little Goose Dams. The existing elevators are electric traction type elevators. The capacities of both elevators are: 4000LB Capacity, 350 fpm tr avel speed, 153 feet total travel height, serves 9 landings; Items to be replaced or added include the following: hoist motor, hoist gear box, elevator brake, hoistway ropes and shackles, rope deflector sheave, speed governor, elevator car and counterweig ht guide rail rollers, elevator car safeties, elevator car walls, doors, and ceiling, buffers for the elevator car and counterweights, elevator electrical systems and wiring including the control cabinet, disconnect switch, motor feeders and all associated controls, door operators, hoistway hangers, tracks, and rollers, ADA compliant operating controls, handrails, communications devices, and hall call stations. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $13 million.
