- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Anesthesia and Surgical Services (DASS) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and potential capability of small and small disadvantaged businesses to provide the requirement as outlined below. DASS requires a contractor to lease or sell to the government 4 complete Laparoscopic Video Towers. Specifically, the laparoscopic video tower shall have the following specifications and accessories: Carbon Dioxide tank mounting brackets, mounting brackets and associated equipment to support video monitors, gas fixation booms to eliminate drift, electrical outlets with safety features to allow for the safe operation of sensitive high-energy systems in close proximity to patient and anesthesia equipment, 20? monitor, Xenon light source, Integrated Thermoflater, Video Printer, AIDA DVD system with smart screen, Image 1 Camera Control Unit, Aluminum documentation cart, Autoclavable telescopes that consist of the following sizes and quantities, 5-10mm 0 degree, 5-10 mm 30 degree, 4-5 mm 0 degree and 2-5 mm 30 degree. Also, 4 Image 1 camera heads, 4 light cables and 4 telescope sterilization trays. In addition, these towers shall be ceiling mountable, equipment-bearing units. These towers will be used to hold operative equipment required for both standard open as well as minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures. Items to be loaded on the towers would include electrocautery and ultrasonic generators, video capture equipment, carbon dioxide insufflation units, video screens and halogen light sources. Finally, the leaser shall be required to provide all maintenance as required by the manufacture. The period of performance for the lease shall be for a basic contract period of twelve (12) months, with options to renew for three (3) additional twelve (12) month periods. It is anticipated that the Government would require the lease to begin June 30, 2006. If the Government elects to purchase the equipment, the anticipated delivery date would be June 30, 2006. Your response to this market survey should include descriptive literature of equipment your firm sells that will meet the requirements above. This capability statement must also state business size, annual receipts (average gross revenue for the last three fiscal years, and if the firm has been approved as a small business by the Small Business Administration under the applicable NAICS Code 532490, $6 million dollars. Capable firms should provide two (2) copies of a capability statement to the attention of Christopher Belt at the above address within fifteen (15) days from the date if this notice.
