- There will be a Pre-Bid and Small Business Outreach Conference for the New U.S. Courthouse located in Rockford, Illinois. The anticipated release of bid documents is January 27, 2006 and the bid date is March 2, 2006. The project includes but is not limited to the following work: New construction and new sitework for the United States Courthouse in Rockford, Illinois. The new courthouse will consist of five courtrooms, five chambers, detention area with nine holding cells, and office space. The courthouse is a six story precast concrete building which also has a six story glass atrium and a basement that includes fifty-two car parking garage and two rooftop penthouses. The estimated construction cost for the entire project is within the range of 50-60 million dollars. The conference will be hosted by the Construction Manager as Constructor, Caddell, who is already under contract with the General Services Administration (GSA) and is intended to inform the subcontracting community of some of the particulars of the project including information regarding the availability of bid documents, the bidding process, anticipated scheduling, etc. Caddell and GSA will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding this project. Congressman Don Manzullo will be in attendance at this meeting. The conference will be held on Monday, January 30, 2006, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Rock Valley College Stenstrom Center for Career Education at 4151 Samuelson Road, Rockford, Illinois 61109.
