- The US Army ARDEC is conducting a market survey to identify sources to undertake programs to exploit technologies in precision machining and precision manufacturing, applying these technologies to the suite of precision armament systems under development at ARDEC. Under this program, ARDEC seeks to develop and execute programs with an established industrial-based consortium. All interested firms shall submit their technical capabilities (1-10 pages)for the above to include the following at no cost to the Government. The technical capabilities shall describe how the interested firm can provide engineering services, program management duties, development capabilities, and equipment related to the following: (1) Use an established industrial consortium to develop a portfolio of precision machining and manufacturing technologies for use by the US Army ARDEC. (2)Establish world-leading capabilities in technology development and transition as they relate to the needs of precision weapons systems. (3) Develop necessary partnerships with academia, government labs, and commercial research activities to provide technology and resource leveraging. (4) Capability to develop public/private partnering model that maximizes technology development opportunities in precision manufacturing and machining. These submissions will not count towards your technical capabilities page count limitation. The technical capabilities shall be submitted electronically forty-five (45) days from the date of this notice to Ms. Cathy Kallistros, ckallis@pica.army.mil. It does not constitute an RFP and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
