Description
United States Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) will host the FY06 Focused Forum #2 on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 (8:30 - 11:30 AM). Focused Forums provide the command an opportunity to disseminate joint capability focus areas information to industry, academia, and government agencies to discover innovative solutions for a specific operational issue. This forum will address the capability focus area of Database Integration. Primary objectives for the upcoming forum include: Capabilities to manage massive amounts of multi-source data (both structured and unstructured) to be used to correlate, fuse, visualize in 4D, and detect changing environmental characteristics, thereby allowing U.S. and Coalition operating forces to rapidly understand their complete operating environment. Data discovery capabilities to enhance the ability of the Intelligence Analyst?s to perform trainable/guided data searches, semantic indexing, data mining, entity extraction, and link analysis. Capabilities to access distributed heterogeneous databases on short notice. Scalable, robust architectures and tools to allow unimpeded access and analysis of large amount of multi-source, multi-classification level data to find previously unknown patterns, associations, relationships, trends, and anomalies. The USJFCOM Focused Forums enable the command to disseminate information on joint capability developments, and following the forum, permits industry and other interested communities to provide feedback to partner with us to develop solutions. The forum meeting will be held at the Chesapeake Conference Center, 900 Greenbrier Circle, Chesapeake, Virginia, (www.chesapeakeconference.com).
