SOL N/A (SYNOPSIS PUBLISHED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY ? NO SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED - This is a Request for Information Only. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) will celebrate 45 years of providing logistics support to the Department of Defense and other federal agencies during 2006. The Government intends to award IAW FAR 6.302-1(a) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), a contract, on a sole source basis, to Faircount Publications, 701 N. Westshore Blvd., Tampa FL 33609, to provide a magazine style publication highlighting Defense Logistics Agency and its Field Activities? mission, accomplishments, support to national defense and America?s men and women in uniform worldwide, nation building and humanitarian relief efforts. This publication, entitled ?Defense Logistics Agency: Supplying the Warfighter? will be a perfect bound, glossy publication of approximately 50,000 copies, 160 pages in length, printed on a four-color press using the latest technology available. This is a noncompetitive action for a contract at no cost to the Defense Logistics Agency. Based on the information currently available to the Government, Faircount Publications is the only firm to offer this service at no cost to the Government. Required date of publication release: Summer 2006. This notice of intent is for the purpose of advising prospective offerors of this contracting action to ensure that the Government has the best available information in determining whether to proceed with a noncompetitive award.
