- The U. S. Coast Guard has decided not to set aside the acquisition for dockside repairs of the USCGC MOHAWK for Hubzone or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns, because only one certified business concern complied with the requirements of the sources sought notice. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about January 31, 2006 at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. THIS REQUIREMENT IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS AND WILL BE EVALUATED USING PAST PERFORMANCE AS AN EVALUATION FACTOR. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dockside repairs to the USCGC MOHAWK (WMEC-913) including but not limited to the following Base and Option items: (1) Clean and Inspect Fuel and Oil Tanks, (2) Clean and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks, (3) Clean Accessible Void, (4) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water collection and Holding Tanks, (5) Clean Shipboard Ventilation Systems, (6) Overhaul Ventilation Fan Assemblies, (7) Renew Supply Vent Ducting, (8) Modify Laundry Space Ventilation S ystem, (9) Renew Waterproof Ventilators, (10) Renew Chill Water Piping Insulation in Auxiliary Machinery Space #1, (11) Overhaul Steering Systems, (12) Inspect and Repair fin Stabilizer, (13) Overhaul anchor Windlass Assembly, (14) Overhaul anchors and anchor Chains, (15) Renew Fixed Hanger Section Joint Sealant, (16) Perform Inspection and Maintenance of Talon Helicopter Landing Grid, (17) Renew Deck Covering System, and (18) Composite Labor. Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. The USCGC MOHAWK is a 270 Foot ?B? Class Medium Endurance Cutter homeported in Key West, FL. All work will be performed at the vessels homepier in Key West. The performance period is FIFTY-FIVE (55) calendar days beginning on or about April 24, 2006. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 500, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Drawings are still available in hardcopy; however, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings.
