- NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the following Commercial item/services: A fully three-axis rotational simulator (TARS), supporting control electronics system with cabling and related documentation. The TARS is specified to accommodate angular rate sensors and small inertial measurement units that will be primarily for space flight control applications. The TARS is intended to have the capability to serve as a real-time flight motion simulator and a general-purpose inertial system evaluation station. The contractor shall design, manufacture, deliver, install and test one three-axis rotational simulator consisting of one three-degree-of-freedom rate table and one control electronics system. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 334511 and 750 respectively. The anticipated release date of RFP NNJ06135917R is on or about January 23, 2006 with an anticipated proposal due date of on or about February 22, 2006. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/JSC Business Opportunities page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=73 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
