Description

This procurement is restricted 8A competitive. Remote Truck Inspection Station, Ft. Detrict, Maryland. Estimated cost of construction is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The NAICS Code assigned is 236210 with a size standardard of $28,500,000.00. Construction completion is 365 calendar days. Project includes the construction of one Search Building, one Gate House, two prefabricated Guardbooths, one prefabricated Pedestrian Guardbooth, one Overwatch Guardbooth and three canopies. It also includes all associated site work, and utilities as well as the demolition of two existing structures (a 8 X 16 gatehouse and a 4 X 6 guardbooth) removal of utilities, asphalt roads, fencing, curbing, and walkways. The Search Building is a single story, masonry c onstruction structure at about 1320 SF. The Gate House is also single story, masonry construction, and must need a minimum ballistic level III rating at about 480 SF. The Guardbooths will be 32 SF each, the Pedestrian Guardbooth will be 140 SF and the Ov erwatch Guardbooth will be 36 SF. All Guardbooths will be prefabricated and meet ballistic level III construction requirements. The three canopies will be standing seam metal roofing and steel columns with brick finishes. The project includes the constr uction of new utilities, and the removal and/or relocation of existing utilities on the site. The site will require a significant amount of imported fill for regarding. Doughton Drive will be extended to provide a connection to the nearby housing area as the first phase of the project. This procurement will be advertised as a Request for Proposal. Competitive proposals will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation package. All responsible sources may submit a proposal , which shall be considered by the agency. It is imperative that all small disadvantaged businesses (SDB) contact their cognizant Small Business Administration (SBA) Office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Business Certification. Without SBA SDB certificati on, a prime contractor or a federal agency can receive SDB credit when utilizing non-certified SDB contractors/subcontractors. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE PROVIDED IN AN ELECTRONIC FORMAT, FREE OF CHARGE, TO ALL REGISTERED PLAN HOLDERS. THE MEDIA THROUGH W HICH THE GOVERNMENT CHOOSES TO ISSUE THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE ON THE WEB SITE; THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED IN PAPER. In order to register, each contractor must have a valid Dun & Bradstreet Number and Cage Code Number assign ed for the specific location being registered and also be registered in the Central Contractor Database. Each contractor need only register once for each solicitation. Registered planholders will be provided the solicitation. In order to reduce the poss ibility of error and to increase the quality of our service to you, all deliveries, packages, etc. of more than one box or container must be bound together by tape or other means. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all c ontractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract.
