Description

The Internal Revenue Service intends to renew it's software maintenance contract for the Software Quality Assurance (SQuA) source code control tool from ArkData AB Inc. for 12 months. This is an automated configuration management utility for applications running on UNISYS mainframe platforms which provides tracking and software version control throughout the entire applications development life cycle. SQuA is IRS's version control tool for both source and executable code and the utility has been substantially customized to meet the unique and complex programming exigencies of the IRS. All configuration control activities for programs and source code in IRS's UNISYS mainframe environment are performed using this utility. The Government intends to acquire the above services on a renewal basis from Arkdata AB, Inc., Katonah, New York 10536. In the absence of any other compelling sources, the anticipated award date is January 13, 2006. No award will be made on the basis of any quotations, proposals, or other information received in response to this notice since this is a notification of intent to acquire and not a request for proposal.
