Description

C ? Architect/Engineering Services Sources Sought Notice Richard Pasbrig, Contracting Officer ? 708-202-4141 Provide professional engineering services to Renovate 5th Floor Sub-Speciality Clinics, Bldg. #200 at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Work includes Preliminary Study, Investigative services, consultation/meetings with staff to establish specific program requirements, preliminary drawings, working drawings, specifications, including cost estimates, and construction period services. Work includes but is not limited to the demolition of the entire area of 21,000 sq. ft. area except for plumbing, mechanical and electrical chases; removal and replacement of doors, flooring, ceiling tiles, electrical work, signage, fire protection and HVAC work. Asbestos abatement will be included. A/E must include CIH involvement regarding items such as asbestos and lead in working drawings. Estimated construction cost is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to 100 miles of the Hines VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Submit two (2) copies of SF 330 with appropriate documentation by close of business January 31, 2006. Selection criteria will be based on: Selection criteria will be based on: (1) specialized experience and technical competence of the firm (including a joint venture or association) with the type of design required, (2) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project, (3) Maintaining project schedules and project budgets; (4) Knowledge in design and construction requirements; and (5) Cost control effectiveness. No bid packages are available. This is not a Request For Proposal (RFP). NAIC #541330 applies. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
