Description

Operational Contracting, US Air Force Academy intends to award a sole source purchase order utilizing simplified acquisition procedures to TA Instruments ? Waters LLC for a Q800 Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer. The Q800 Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer is the only instrument that can satisfy the requirements of the US Air Force Academy Department of Chemistry, which includes hardware and software compatibility with other equipment currently used in advanced chemistry courses and research projects. The TA Instruments device was found to be the only source that meets departmental teaching criteria, student ease of use requirements, and hardware and software compatibility with existing instruments. Supplies and/or services are available from only one responsible source. No other type of supply or service will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to meet this requirement. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. If no response is received by January 13, 2006 to the effect that comparable supplies and/or services are available that would be more advantageous to the Government than obtaining these supplies and or services though a sole source procurement with TA Instruments ? Waters LLC a sole source award will be made.
