Description

This procurement is set aside for 8(a) competition for those firms with bonafide places of business in the San Francisco, Sacramento and Fresno districts. This project is for the construction of a C-17 Composite Shop which includes a single story high bay facility for the repair and fabrication of aircraft parts and panels and the construction of a non-combustible detached addition to the existing Life Support Shop to accommodate C-17 life support equipment at Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, CA. The estimated cost is between, $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. The contract will be awarded using competitive negotiation procedures. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, is determined to be the best value to the government considering price and technical factors. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236210, Industrial Building Construction, and the related small business size standard is $31,000,000. The solicitation will be available on or about 19 January 2006 and will only be available electronically via the internet at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil.
