Description

CONTACT Norman Karp,(732) 532-3723, Production Engineer. This is a Market Survey to locate potential sources for the Electronic Components Assembly (Back Plate Assembly), AN/ARC-186. Current source for the Back Plate Assembly is Rockwell Collins Inc. Division Government Systems (Rockwell), 400 Collins Rd NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52498-0001. The following is pertinent information to the Rockwell AN/ARC-186 Back Plate Assembly, NSN: 5998-01-077-4079, Rockwell-Collins part number is 638-8713-001. This Back P late Assembly is used to convert a C-10606/ARC186 (V) Control to a C-10604/ARC186 (V) Control. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of this unit is not available from the Army. Companies capable of performing this effort must indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AC (Norman Karp), Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with units that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with the units from the previous supplier. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that this item su pplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. Companies must demonstrate that they have the intimate knowledge of the item and its associated component parts and have experience performing work on similar items.
