Description
In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration's Acquisition Management Policy, Section 3.2.1.3.12, Public Announcements, the FAA Alaskan Region is announcing that it has a requirement to contract for chartered helicopter services for FAA personnel and/or freight from Juneau, AK to various sites in Southeast AK. The solicitation is for the Base Year and Four (4) Option Years. This solicitation is set-aside for Small Businesses. The NAICS Code No. is 481211. The issue date for this solicitation is anticipated to be on or about January 4, 2006, with a closing date anticipated to be on or about January 20, 2006. Requests for the solicitation package must be in writing to Theresa A. Clark, FAA, Acquisition & Real Estate Branch, AAL-59A, 222 W. 7th Avenue #14, Anchorage, AK 99513, by FAX to (907) 271-2326 or Email to terry.a.clark@faa.gov. Only a small number of solicitation packages will be printed. To ensure you receive a package, your request must be received by close of business January 13, 2006. Any requests after this date will not be acknowledged. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small business, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000. For further information and applicable forms concerning the STLP, call the OSDBU at (800) 532-1169."
