Description
This procurement is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a Firm Fixed Price contract for Repair Aircraft Parking Apron, LP Area, Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia. This project reconstructs Apron section LPA4 (97,160 sf) and LPA5 (113,904 sf) with Portland cement concrete and removal of existing pavement. All wiring, lights, electrical service, culverts and pavement markings disturbed by this project will be replaced. Storms sewers within the sections will be replaced. Project requires installation of Aircraft tie downs and grounding points in each slab of parking apron and incidental related work. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, engineering, materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and transportation required to perform all of the services described in the specifications and drawings for the contract. The approximate Solicitation Release Date is 4 January 2006. The estimated price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This solicitation is available in electronic format only. All documents will be in the Adobe Acrobat PDF file format via the Internet. The free Acrobat Reader, required to view the PDF files, can be downloaded from the Adobe website. Contractors are encouraged to register for the solicitation when downloading from the NAVFAC E-Solicitations website. Only registered contractors will be notified by email when amendments to the solicitation are issued. Effective January 1, 2005, contractors are no longer required to submit Representations and Certifications for each individual contract award if they are submitted online via the Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) web site. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 238990 with a Size Standard of $12 million. In accordance with the provisions of DFARS 252.204-7004, REQUIRED CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Lack of registration in the CCR database on the part of the offeror will make an offeror ineligible for award.
