- Medical Supplies - Potential Sources Sought Military Hospitals: (Army, Navy, Air Force) Southwest Region OSTOMY SUPPLIES ? Standardization Point of Contact: Cindy Ingrao, Clinical Consultant, Tri-Service Regional Business Office, Southwest Region, San Diego, CA. Telephone: (619) 532-8517. Potential sources sought to participate in the regional standardization of Ostomy Supplies. Southwest Region, a military integrated delivery network (IDN), comprised of Army, Navy and Air Force medical treatment centers in California are in the process of standardizing Ostomy Supplies. If your company currently holds or is in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) with the Defense Supply Center-Philadelphia (DSCP) for Ostomy Supplies, your company is eligible to participate in the standardization process. If your company is not a current DAPA holder for this product line, you are still eligible to participate in the standardization process by contacting the Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia (DSCP), Mr. John Charalabidis at (215) 737-7124 or e-mail at john.charalabidis@dla.mil to apply for a DAPA. Your company can be considered once DAPA paperwork is pending at DSCP. For questions, please call (619) 532-8517. 1.Does your company manufacture and/or distribute a complete line of ostomy supplies? 2.Are your products available through the Prime Vendor, Owens & Minor and/or Cardinal? 3.What is your DAPA Number? 4.Under what brand(s) does your company manufacture or distribute your product? 5.Under what standards is your product manufactured? 6.Please provide a list of the products your company offers with sizes. 7.Are your products hypoallergenic and latex free? 8.Does your company offer larger appliances than the standard 2 ? inch flange or appliances for use in fistulas and large wound management such as 4 inch wafers and pouches? 9.Does your company offer pouches for urinary and fecal stomas? 10.Does your company offer pre-cut wafers? If so, in what sizes? 11.Does your company offer flat wafers in at least two cut to fit sizes? 12.Does your company offer convex wafers in at least 2 sizes that can be cut to fit convex appliances? 13.Does your company offer a complete line of pediatric and neonatal ostomy appliances? 14.Are your products made to be durable and withstand harsh enzymatic drainage without breaking down? 15.Does your company offer irrigation kits? 16.Does your company offer closed-in pouches? 17.Does your company offer a sealant for difficult to pouch stomas such as Eakin seals? 18.Does your company offer a wound manager that is large enough for the largest enterocutaneous or colocutaneous fistulas? 19.Does your company offer Velcro closures for elderly patients? 20.Does your company offer a line of anti-odor drops to decrease odor in the pouch? 21.Does your company offer a line of wafers and pouches for patients that are allergic to your standard line? 22.Does your company offer stomahesive powder and paste for pouching mucocutaneal separation? 23.Does your company offer attachments for urostomy pouches to be hooked up to a night bag and or leg bag? 24.Does your company offer drainable pouch closures for patients with manual dexterity issues such as arthritis? If so, what are the types of closures for this situation? 25.Does your company offer ostomy belts? If so, in what sizes? 26.Does your company offer hernia belts? 27.Does your company offer a one-piece appliance? 28.What materials are your ostomy supplies made of? 29.Are your products recyclable and/or environmentally friendly to discard? 30.Does you company carry wound products associated with ostomy care? If so, provide a list of these wound care products. 31.What types of educational tools or materials do you have for this product line? 32.What kind of staff training does your company provide? 33.Does your company provide customer service 24/7? 34.Is there any history of backorders and/or recalls for this product group?
