Item 0001 NSN 2840-01-513-8923, Drum Rotor and Part Number: 4087024-01, Qty Range: 14 through 27 each or 28 through 40 each. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. AWARD WILL NOT BE WITHHELD AWAITING QUALIFICATION. Potential sources are not to utilize intellectual property of third parties without appropriate authorization of the intellectual property owner. Potential sources are cautioned that no part of the government property qualification requirement is intended to endorse or encourage the improper use of intellectual property developed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer or any other third party. For qualification information/source approval request contract OC-ALC/BC (405) 739-7244. Form/Fit/Function: Drum rotor consists of 4th and 5th Stage Rear Compressor Disks and is an integral component of the Rear Compressor Assembly of the Core Engine Module. The compressor provides airflow required for combustion to produce thrust. Material: PWA 1227 Titanium Alloy. Dimensions: Approximately 8 inches in height and 18 inches in outer diameter. Destination: Tinker AFB OK, Delivery: June 30, 2007. The approximate solicitation issue date will be January 4, 2006. The anticipated award date will be 1 March 2006. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms(s) listed: Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford CT. Note: Data to control the reliability limits and/ or define the performance parameters that control these limits is not defined, nor can they be adequately drafted by the government. Note: an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
