- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single or multiple awards to qualified small businesses/individuals for the provision of Various Medical Services. The services will be performed on inmates who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment, located at the Federal Correctional Institution, Bastrop, Texas. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The award will be made to the responsible businesses or individuals who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The Various Medical Services are as follows: Dental Assistance Services, one (1) position; Dental Hygienist Services, one (1) position; and Pharmacy Technician Services, one (1) position. The contract periods for all services will consist of a 12-month base period and four 12 month option periods. The estimated quantities for the base year and each option year for each medical service are as follows: Dental Assistant is 1338, one (1) hour sessions per year; Dental Hygienist is 336, one (1) hour sessions per year; and Pharmacy Technician is 1380, one (1) hour sessions per year. The number of hours per week shall not exceed thirty (30) hours. The solicitation will be available on or about January 11, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations, Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about February 10, 2006. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The web-site for registration is www.ccr.gov. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for all the services are 621399. The solicitation is 100% set-a-side for small business. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible small businesses may submit a quote.
