Description
The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a Purchase Order for the following requirement: 1. Methylphenidate HCl (C14H19NO2, HCl, MW = 269.8): 150 grams of Methylphenidate HCl, supplied as a single lot, neat with purity equal to or greater than 99.0%. Packaged in 25 gram portions in amber, Teflon-lined screw-cap bottles and packed under argon. The drug must meet the FDA guidelines for residual solvents in pharmaceuticals. Must be supplied to the NCTR within 60 calendar days of the receipt of the purchase order. 2. Specifications: Identity: mass spectrometry must indicate a match to the NIST reference spectral library and be confirmed by NMR. The contractor will provide Identity and Purity results (Certificate of Analysis) and the supporting documentation to the PI and the NCTR Biochemical Toxicology Chemistry Support Group. Purity: Purity will be determined by two of the following methods: GC, HPLC, TLC, or Melting Point and will be equal to or greater than 99.0%. The drug will be tested at the NCTR and analyzed for identity and purity. The drug must meet these standards as tested by the NCTR Biochemical Toxicology Chemistry Support Group. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to the National Center for Toxicological Research Center, 3900 NCTR Road, Jefferson, Arkansas 72079-9502. The Government may accept any item or group of items of an offer, unless the offeror qualifies the offer by specific limitations. The Government reserves the right to make an award on any item for a quantity less than the quantity offered, at the unit price offered, unless offeror specifies other wise in the offer. The request for quote (RFQ) will be available on or about December 30, 2005 and responses are due by 2:00 p.m. on January 16, 2006. Requests for RFQ # FDA-SOL-06-00133 must be submitted in writing to the National Center for Toxicological Research Center, Acquisition Services, Attn: Regina Williams, 3900 NCTR Road, Jefferson, Arkansas 72079-9502, facsimile to (870) 543-7990, or e-mail message to Regina.Williams@fda.hhs.gov. Request must include business name, point of contact, address, telephone number (including area code) and RFQ number. This requirement is not set-aside for small business concerns, all responsible sources, if timely received, shall be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification Code System (NAICS) code is 325998 and the size standard is 500 employees. See numbered Note 22.
