The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) San Diego, CA intends to award a sole source contract to Marine Safety International, Inc. (MSI) for ship handling proficiency training and education. The contract will provide ship handling proficiency training services to the U.S. Pacific Fleet ships? personnel in both full mission and bridge wing simulators. Training includes basic, intermediate and advanced ship handling proficiencies. Specialized classroom training on procedures to reduce the probability of collisions and groundings is also provided. MSI provides the services using contractor owned and operated full-scale walk-around interactive state of the art ship handling simulation systems accurately modeled to replicate different ship classes.
