- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division plans to issue a competitive solicitation for services to repair a ship set of outboard shafts (4pcs) for the PC class ships in accordance with NAVSEA drawing 243-5106757 as modified and described in the statement of work. The shafts are damaged and require re-conditioning in way of the journal, stuffing box, and muff coupling areas using the HVOF application of tungsten carbide hastalloy to rebuild the surfaces. A detailed copy of this solicitation, including the statement of work, will be posted at the following website: WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV on or about 29 December 2005. See numbered note 1.
