Description

This Announcement replaces the one previously posted on December 13, 2005. The National Park Service intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a Fire Detection and Suppression system. THIS PROCURMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONTRACTORS. The work of this contract consists of providing all supplies, materials, equipment and labor necessary to complete the installation of a Fire Detection and Suppression system in the Yorktown Visitor Center, located in Colonial National Historical Park, Yorktown, VA. Work includes the addition of new fire detection devices to an existing fire detection system in the visitor center, installation of a new fire suppression water line service from an existing buried water main to the visitor center, and installation of new fire suppression system to the visitor center, museum and administrative offices. The solicitation, I4290060615 will be issued electronically and will be available on or about January 3, 2006 at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be available. Responses will be due 30 days following issuance of the solicitation. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The government intends to award a firm fixed price contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The NAICS code for this project is 561621 and the small business size is $11.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered. In accordance with FAR subpart 36.204, the magnitude of this project is between $100,000 - $250,000. This procurement is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and is subject to the Federal Acquistion Regulations (FAR) Part 14, Sealed Bids. Prospective bidders must register on the Central Contractor Registration website at http://www.ccr.gov in order to receive awards from federal agencies.
