- 1. Request for Information: This is a request for information (RFI) for planning purposes only. Aviano AB is seeking a food service provider who can provide quality service, a variety of food choices, flexibility in schedule, and creativity in managing the food portion (the bar and beverage portion will be not be contracted out) of the La Bella Vista Club on Aviano AB. La Bella Vista?s mission is to provide sit down family dining experiences, official dining functions, special occasion functions, a meeting place, and a social gathering place for Aviano AB personnel authorized to use the La Bella Vista Club facilities. The La Bella Vista Club currently provides nightly meals, Sunday brunch, regularly hosts monthly meetings and ceremonies that may include light refreshments, special functions, holiday functions and various ethnic events where a variety of cultural cuisine is served. There are currently several other places for employees and families to eat on Aviano. These include: Burger King, a fast food restaurant which serves hamburgers and chicken Taco Bell, a fast food restaurant which serves Mexican food Robin Hood, a fast food restaurant which serves hot and cold sub sandwiches Anthony?s Pizza, a fast food restaurant which serves Pizza Popeye?s Chicken, a fast food restaurant which serves fried chicken and other American style food Subway, which serves hot and cold sub sandwiches The La Bella Vista Club operations should not compete with other restaurants on base but instead should provide an alternative place to eat that offers a variety of items that compliment the other restaurant menus. The La Bella Vista Club currently uses an Air Force approved menu program and recipe cards to plan for meals. The contractor will be required to use the Air Force Clubs core menu that consists of 500 items to provide 50% of the menu items served at the facility. We are looking for a contractor who can creatively and efficiently manage the food operations portion of the La Bella Vista Club and meet the needs of Aviano AB personnel. The Contractor?s proposal should include a variety of food types to satisfy our customer?s desires, but it should not be just Italian food. The Contractor has the flexibility to propose how they would manage the food operations portion. The contractor must include a proposed menu, hours of operation and prices in their proposal. The Government will furnish the building, utilities and some kitchen equipment in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. Additionally, a site visit with a question and answer session with club management and base leadership will be held to allow contractors to better understand this requirement and to help develop their proposal. 2. Requirements: See attached Statement of Work 3. The Contractor shall provide the following information: a. Please provide information showing you have the capability to meet the catering demands. b. Please provide information showing you have the capability to provide different types of cuisine. 4. The Government has the right to use any of the information provided by contractors to develop our RFP. If an offeror objects to this, please do not submit the information. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Although proposal and offer are used in this RFI, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. Again, this solicitation is issued for the purpose of INFORMATION and PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. Responses will be accepted in any format by 1600 local time on Dec 30, 2005, to the POC.
