Description

The U. S. Geological Survey, EESP, Reston, VA intends to make award on a sole source basis, to SPOT Image Corporation., Chantilly, VA to provide high resolution panchromatic imagery. The requested high resolution (less than or equal to 5m GSD) panchromatic imagery is in across-track stereo mode with an image scene size of 60km x 60km (36000km2) and a base-to-height ratio ranging between 0.5 and 1.1. As a result of market research we have discovered that SPOT Image Corporation is the only known vendor whose equipment met or exceeded our requirements and no other vendor will have this capability for at least five more years. There is no written solicitiation for this requirement. This award will be made as an IDIQ on or about Dec. 8, 2005 The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541360. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No additional synopsis will be published. See note 1.
