- This is a pre-solicitation synopsis. The actual RFP, with information and specifications will be available on the Gateway website (see instructions below) after October 25, 2005. Please note that all dates are estimated.Visit http://assist.daps.mil/quicksearch/ for helpful information including drawing requests--All contractors must be CCR registered and have a cage code(www.ccr.dlis.dla.mil to register) See notes #9 and 26. This is an acquisition for the the following item: Swords and Scabbard, USMC. This is an IDTC with the following quantities: MIN: 789/Max: 3945, with 1 year option, 4 sizes of swords will be purchased(26", 28", 30", and 32) All swords will be made in accordance with MIL-S-19206 dated 20 September 1994. This is an unrestricted acquisition utilizing best value/source selection procedures. Evaluation factors are as follows: Product Demonstration Model, Experience/Past Performance, Socio-Economic, JWOD, DLA Mentoring. Request for spec and drawings at: http://assist.daps.dla.mil/quicksearch/. Delivery will be made to New Cumberland, PA. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to received notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETRIEVING SOLICITATION. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway(Gateway) at http:progate.daps.mil/home after Ocotber 25, 2005. From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFP's from the left-hand sidebar. Select solicitation and type the solicitation number you wish to view SPM1C1-06-R-0051). Click search. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notificaiton of RFPs, prospective vendors must go tot he RFP information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. The solicitaitons will be in a downloadable printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free software is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
