Description

The Recapitalization of the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs): NSN/Model 2320-01-107-7155/M998. The selected Contractor shall recapitalize vehicles to extend service life and convert the vehicles to a M1097R1 configuration. The recapitalization process shall consist of vehicle disassembly, application of designated mandatory replacement parts, rebuild of selected major assemblies, application of Modification Work Orders as applicable, inspection and repair/replacement as required in accordance with Technical Manuals and Technical Data Package requirements. The solicitation will include a base year requirement of 300 vehicles with two base year options of 250 vehicles each for a total of up to 800 vehicles. The Army may consider adding two additional options. This procurement is planned pursuant to 32 USC 113 and is a competitive action to select a third source for HMMWV Recapitalization. In accordance with 32 USC 113, this competitive procurement is open to all qualified public -sector and private-sector sources and will be solicited on a firm-fixed price basis. Delivery requirements provide for a 90 day ramp-up period, followed by monthly production requirements thereafter.
