Description: Notice of intent to award, on or about December 2, 2005, a sole source procurement to Windstream Flights Systems, Castle Rock, Colo., for subscription plan for flight tracking data via satellite. The aircraft are used for various government missions, primarily fire fighting. These satellite services are a follow on to a previously competed procurement. Windstream Flight Systems is the only known provider whose software is compatible with currently installed transmitter boxes.
