- Description
- The Army Program Executive Office (PEO) for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (STRI), Project Manager for Instrumentation, Targets, and Threat Simulators (PMITTS), Targets Management Office (TMO) requests information on capabilities to provid e Scoring Equipment and Scoring Services for Live Fire (tactical and training munitions) for Army Test and Evaluation, and Training Ranges. The following areas of interest should be addressed in part or in whole: Aerial Targets Sensors for sub-scale fixed wing targets; remotely piloted/unmanned aerial vehicle targets and aerial towed targets. Specific targets include: MQM-107 (D&E Models), BQM-34 (A & S Models), the Remotely Piloted Vehicle Target (RPVT) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Targets. Additional information on most of the targets listed here, including the aerial towed targets, is provided in Army Training Circular TC 25-8, Appendix B. Ground Targets Sensors for infantry and armor targets - two-dimensional, two and one half-dimensional, moving, s tationary, and pop-up targets as described in TC 25-8, Appendix B. Capability to score three-dimensional infantry and armor targets should also be addressed. Ground Targets Sensors for Aviation Gunnery Training Targets - 2-3 dimensional, moving, stationary , and pop-up targets being engaged by 2.75 inch training rockets, machinegun (5.56mm,7.62mm, 9mm, 30mm, 50 Cal), hellfire training missiles (laser scoring, no live rounds), and potentially an RF missile. Engagements may include door gunnery. Ground Control Systems (for scoring equipment)- sensor control, data collection and recording, and report generation capabilities provided/required for scoring system. List any network interfaces/standards associated with equipment operation, for example, Test and Train ing Enabling Architecture (TENA) Weapon Systems Scored - small arms to air-to-ground and air-to-air rockets and missiles; on-board laser and/or radio frequency missile training devices; airburst projectiles. Scoring Type - miss distance indication, round c ount, round location - i.e. hit location on target, round identification, fragmentation patterns, area scoring, vector scoring, etc... Scoring Services - installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of scoring equipment; operation of scoring sens ors and ground support equipment; scoring reports and customer interface. Engineering Services - capability to provide engineering support for scoring equipment to include modification of equipment to mount on/in new target and adapt to new scoring require ments; analysis of operational problems including equipment failures and interference with/from other target payloads; and, improvements/upgrades to ground control systems. Other Information - provide additional information as applicable that relates to cu rrent scoring equipment and services capabilities; address capability to score sub-sonic and super-sonic projectiles; specify scoring technology for each device - i.e., doppler, acoustic, video, laser, piezo, etc..., accuracy demonstrated, and operating fr equencies; provide availability, current/past target/weapon system scored, for each scoring sensor, installation kit, and ground control station for which information is provided. Information provided may include marketing literature, white papers, drawing s, briefings, web sites, etc... and may be submitted in hard copy and/or electronic files compatible with Windows XP, Microsoft Office, and/or Adobe Acrobat 6.0. Properly marked proprietary data will be handled accordingly. This announcement does not const itute an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.
