Description
This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The USCG ELC has a requirement for an extending boom type marine crane system for installation on U.S. Coast Guard 110 WPB Class patrol boats. The crane is required for small boat handling and other weight handling requirements. The marine crane will launch and retrieve a 2,500 lb RHIB between the existing cradle and the sea, in advanced sea states. The Marine Crane System shall be furnished in accordance with Coast Guard Specification No. P-583-9435. The marine crane system shall consist of the following 7 modules or assemblies, plus any additional loose components required for installation and support. The marine crane system shall be provided as a factory assembled and tested system. Modular Construction:(a) Marine Crane unit including rotation bearing, (b) Crane Column with bearing flange, (c) Hydraulic Power Unit and Motor Controller, (d) Crane and HPU Control Panel, (e) Chest Pack Crane Control System, (f) Secondary Crane Control System, and (g) HPU Remote Control Unit. The Coast Guard anticipates awarding a firm fixed price requirements type contract for a base year and four, one year options. Estimated quantity per year is 6 each. In addition the Coast Guard may required a spare marine crane module of. This procurement will require the following items to be furnished: Design and interface reports - test plans -Technical support; by phone and on site. - Technical Publication for installation, operation and maintenance of the equipment. - Technical Representative for Commissioning services, Training of Personnel both at pierside and underway.-- Warranty period of 12 months after installation or 18 months after receipt of materials. ? Temporary Storage of the Crane may be required - Delivery to be 210 calendar days for First Article Testing ? Production Unit shall be 180 calendar days. Any sources interested in receiving the solicitation package on or about 5 December 2005. This date is estimated at best.
