Description
A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate HUBZone certified, SBA 8(a) certified or Service Disabled Veteran owned small business contractors for this project. HUBZone businesses are not restricted to any specified area. Th e project is an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract with capability of using a variety of contract types: firm-fixed-price, guaranteed fixed price, also known as fixed price remediation with insurance, other variations of fixed-price or cost r eimbursement (fixed, award, or incentive fee) for broad-spectrum environmental services for the Louisville District and all U.S. Army Corps of Engineers mission boundaries. The collective pool for small business may be $200,000,000.00. This project compri ses establishments primarily engaged in providing advice and assistance to businesses and other organizations on environmental issues, such as the control of environmental contamination from pollutants, toxic substances, and hazardous materials. These est ablishments identify problems (e.g., inspect buildings for hazardous materials), measure and evaluate risks, and recommend solutions. They conduct preliminary assessments, site inspections, testing, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial d esigns, containments, remedial actions, removal of contaminated materials, storage of contaminated materials and security and site closeouts. They employ a multi-disciplined staff of scientists, engineers, and other technicians with expertise in areas, su ch as air and water quality, asbestos contamination, remediation, and environmental law. Establishments providing sanitation or site remediation consulting services are included in this industry. This project is planned for advertising in September of 20 06. Contract duration is 5 years. NAICS code is 562910. This project will be a Request for Proposal including a technical proposal and a price proposal when issued. Technical proposals will be evaluated on such factors (as an example) of Experience, Mana gement, Past Performance and Safety.
