- Description
- This solicitation is for the acquisition of items primarily manufactured by Meggitt Western Design, (WD) Cage Code 59027. This acquisition includes the purchase of part numbered items as well as competitive items (government drawings or specifications) where Meggitt Western Design, (WD) Cage Code 59027 is an approved source, and/or has supplied the item in the past, either directly or through dealers, whether or not the NSNs are ultimately provided from WD. NSNs that will be awarded in accordance with government drawings/specifications are shown on the Section B Excel spreadsheet at the web site shown below. Offerors should be aware that there is a potential for split awards. The intent is to award an indefinite delivery type contract for a one year base and four option years. Solicitation and NSNs will be available for download on the Internet at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil on its issue date. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. See Note 26. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on its issue date of July 8, 2004. Drawings/specifications will be available through the DIBBS solicitation link in the synopsis on the solicitation issue date. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed five years. This proposed procurement includes a family group of items within the Federal Supply Classes 1005, 1095, 1730, 2520, 2920, 3010, 3020, 3040, 3110, 4130, 4330, 4410, 4720, 4730, 4810, 4820, 4925, 5305, 5306, 5307, 5310, 5315, 5330, 5340, 5342, 5360, 5365, 5910, 5930, 5935, 5945, 5998, 6105. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
