Description
A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Hubzone Business Competitive Set-Asides for the following proposed contract: Ft. McCoy, WI - General Purpose Warehouse - Construct a general-purpose warehouse. The building will be permanent construction with reinforced concrete foundations, concrete floor slabs, structural steel frame with pre-cast concrete or tilt-up wall panels , standing seam metal roofing, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and a sprinkler system. Supporting facilities will include site improvements, paving, exterior lighting, landscaping, and extension of utilities. Force protection (physical security) measures will be incorporated into design including the maximum feasible standoff distance from roads, parking areas, and vehicle unloading areas. Berms, heavy landscaping, and bollards will be used to prevent access when standoff distance cannot be maint ained. Air conditioning: 1279 kw/366t tons. Planned for advertisement 07 September 2006 with an award of 15 December 2006. Contract duration is 540 days. NAICS Code is 236220. Size Standard is 28.50. Estimated cost range $10 Million to $25 Million. Fifteen percent (15%) of the work is to be se lf performed. All interested Hubzone businesses should notify this office my mail or fax by 18 November 2005, 4:00 pm local time. Responses should include: Identification of company as a Hubzone; Past Experience describing experience similar in size an d scope to the proposed project; percent of self performed work and how it was accomplished; Capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for project in the dollar amounts listed above and a statement verifying the contractor will self-perform 15% of the work and how it will be accomplished. If qualified Hubzone contractors do not respond, this will be converted to full and open competition.
