Description
The US Army RDECOM, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 is seeking sources to provide equipment camouflage materials for use with US Army sniper teams. The materials include but are not limited to the following: non-permanent paint, wrap/tape, and synthetic leafy and ghillie materials. The paint shall be used to provide camouflage enhancement to the M107 LRSR, M24 SWS, and XM110 SASS. It should consist of various colors of non-reflective finish accepted by Army standards. The paint should be dispensed from an aerosol can and retain adhesion on the small arms weapon for at least the duration of its deployment in the field. It cannot rub-off or be susceptible to baking after typical exposure to the temperatures generated after firing the weapon. The paint should be removable using a solvent provided with the paint and applied by a similar method; the solvent cannot cause damage to the factory finish of the weapon. The wrap/tape is intended to be used as a camouflage cover for various external small arms components. It should consist of various drab patterns accepted by Army standards, and cannot deposit a sticky residue when removed from the weapon. The synthetic leafy and ghillie materials should be offered in various drab patterns accepted by Army standards and attach to the above small arms by means of rubber bands and/or wrap/tape. Other attachment methods may also be utilized. The estimated quantity that may be required by the Government is 5,000 each with minimum monthly delivery rate of 220 each. Interested contractors shall provide a description of their product(s)along with other available information specifications, brochures, manuals and other technical data as well as rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimates for the following: single unit, 1-100 units, 101-200 units, and 201-500 units to: U.S. Army RDECOM, ATTN: Joanne Cicarone, Contract Specialist, Picatinny Center for Contracting and Commerce, AMSTA-AQ-APD, Building 10, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J. 07806-5000 EMAIL Cicarone@pica.army.mil. This Market Survey is for information and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). This Market Survey is not to be construed as a commitment by the U. S. Government. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this Market Survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this Market Survey. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this survey or results of information submitted. Please submit your responses no later than November 25, 2005
