- The work includes providing the supervision, equipment, materials, labor, travel and all means necessary to provide the US Army Corps of Engineers an immediate response for up to 200 quality assurance inspectors (QAs) for up to 180 days each as defin ed by task orders to be issued against this contract. The QAs will be responsible for supplying the Government with daily reports in the southern Mississippi area. Work will be performed 12 hours per day, 7 days per week. This work supports the debris c learance, removal and reduction mission for Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts in Mississippi as well as temporary roofing and may also include work of general construction projects. These services shall include identification of unit quantities of debris to be hauled, identification of quantities of debris and/or roofing, and other construction work as well as daily reports for work inspected. The contractor shall provide QA services to meet the requirements defined herein as requested for the duration o f any and all task orders issued under this contract. The Contractor shall furnish sufficient technical, supervisory and administrative personnel to ensure the expeditious accomplishment of the work specified in this Scope of Work (SOW). Additionally, th e contractor shall furnish all services, materials, supplies, equipment, housing and travel required to meet the requirements of this Scope of Work. Services include: a. Debris Removal Inspection, b. Temporary Roofs, and General Construction Inspection. Th ese services are primarily anticipated in support of facilities located in Mississippi but could include work in Alabama and Louisiana. The Service Contract Act and other applicable clauses will be incorporated by individual task order, as required. The c ontract will be a Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) type contract with an estimated ceiling of $15 million. The contract term will be a base period of one year. Bidders should check the VCCO Web Page often for new solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. Issue date on 27 October 2005. Proposal due date is 02 November 2005, 1700 Hours.
