Description: The electron collector is a beryllium copper assembly. The procurement of the electron collector consists of fabricating this assembly in accordance with BNL Drawings and Specification. The electron collector material must possess high thermal conductivity and high strength for thermal fatigue endurance. A special, high purity grade of beryllium copper (Hycon 3, manufactured by Brush Wellman) was found to be superior in providing these properties.
