- MARKET RESEARCH/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS. Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) Command and control On-the-move Network Digital Over-the-horizon Relay (CONDOR) Gateway Industry Day 17 November 2005 An Industry Day will be held for the CONDOR Gateway acquisition program on 17 November 2005, in Charleston, SC. The purpose of this Industry Day is to provide information that may improve the Offerors understanding of the CONDOR Gateway requirements for a future request for proposals. This Industry Day will assist potential Offerors in determining if or how they can satisfy the Government?s requirements, increase efficiency in proposal preparation and evaluation, and enhance the Government?s ability to obtain quality supplies and services. The CONDOR program office will provide a complete briefing that represents the requirements and development efforts to date. Prototypes will be available for inspection and shown integrated in a HMMWV and a stand-alone display. DATES: 17 November 2005 TIME: 0830-5:00PM WHERE: Charleston, SC (Hotel to be determined). Potential Offerors attending Industry Day must RSVP. ONLY OFFERORS WHO HAVE REGISTERED WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND INDUSTRY DAY. SECURITY PROCEDURES: All briefs are unclassified. Attendees will sign in and provide Identification, Date, Purpose of Visit, Company Name, and Address. Administrative Registration: Attendees are limited to three (3) participants per company and must register with Ms. Patty Pagonis, Contract Specialist for MARCORSYSCOM via email NLT 21 October 2005. Insert the following heading in the subject line of your registration email: CONDOR RSVP. Provide the name of the three (3) attendees, company name and address. Contact Information is provided below. Registered attendees will be placed on the RSVP list and provided with an Industry Day Package. The Industry Day Package will include location, tentative agenda, copy of briefs, technical data package, and specifications. Questions may NOT be asked during Industry Day however, a box will be available on site to drop in immediate questions. All questions post-Industry Day are due in writing via email to Ms. Pagonis NLT 30 November 2005. Responses to questions will be posted on the NECO website. Questions submission and/or attending the Industry Day is voluntary and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any items or services. No reimbursement will be made for any cost associated with providing information or attending the Industry Day in response to this notice. System Descriptions: The Command and control On-the-move Network, Digital Over-the-horizon Relay (CONDOR) Gateway will provide the Marine Corps with the capability to maintain on-the-move (OTM) and over-the-horizon (OTH) connectivity between Enhanced Position Location Reporting System (EPLRS) communities and/or tactical data networks. The CONDOR program office has developed a prototype solution based on the functional specification from the requirements process. It is an integration of a commercial INMARSAT terminal, COTS routers, an inline network encryption device, and a DC power supply. This equipment is packaged in a sealed and cooled transit case for environmental protection. Each Gateway vehicle also contains an EPLRS radio, a GPS receiver, and a laptop for system configuration and GOTS command and control applications. Each system is also supplied with an external AC to DC power adapter for operating the Gateway on commercial power. Finally, each Gateway vehicle has a ballistic hard top for protection and antenna hardpoint mounting.
