- The U S Naval Academy (USNA) has a requirement to renew their Academic License Agreement (ALA) with Novell for a base year starting retro active 1 October 2005 through 30 September 2006 plus one (1) option year starting 1 October 2006 through 30 September 2007.The manufacturer is Novell Inc, 404 Wyman Street, Suite 500, Waltham MA 02451-1121. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of all under FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis shall be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice or received as a result of a notice of intent shall normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Clin 0001 ? Base Year ? 1 October 2005 through 30 September 2006. 1 Year. Clin 0002 ? Lot II Option I ? 1 October 2006 through 30 September 2007. 1 Year. This solicitation shall close on Friday 7 October 2005, at 3:30 PM local time.
