Description
Attention: General Contractors, Mechanical Subcontractors, Plumbing Subcontractors and Electrical Subcontractors. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for expansion of an Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) base building at the Santa Ana John Wayne Airport, Costa Mesa, CA. The project involves expansion of the base of the building by 1134 square feet, upgrade the HVAC, and upgrade the Fire Life Safety Systems at the John Wayne Airport. The project will be awarded using a best-value procurement process called the Performance Information Procurement System (PIPS). Under this process, award will be made to that Offeror whose offer within the Government's range of $1,000,000 to $1,500,000 is determined to provide the greatest overall value to the FAA. Best value will be based on performance, to include past performance of the prime (general) contractor and critical subcontractors (listed above), current performance capability, and price. An educational workshop will be held to discuss the PIPS process and project requirements. This workshop is mandatory for the prime (general) contractor. All other vendors and individuals (sub contractors and project managers) are highly encouraged to attend to understand the project and how the award will be made. Interested vendors should respond via email to Contracting Officer Deana Galloway at deana.Galloway@faa.gov no later than Thursday, October 13, 2005. Please reference proposal #DTFAWP-06-R-00291 when replying and provide the name(s) of the attendees, phone number(s), email addresses, and your area of expertise. Please CC John Savicky at john.savicky@asu.edu. A location and map will be provided to vendors that respond. Please Note: This is neither a request for offer nor for capability statements. However, the FAA reserves the right to no longer consider firms that fail to respond, to this announcement, respond incompletely or provide any information found to be verifiably false. Details of the remaining phase(s) of this process will be identified in future communications with those firms that successfully respond to this public announcement.
